Curious about what’s been happening in the collectibles space? As always, Alt Hits has you covered. Here’s a few recent stories happening with cards and beyond.

STREAMING FOR SLABS

The Hobby is ready for its closeup, as last week saw the premiere of the new Netflix documentary series The King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch. Currently hovering around Netflix’s top 10, the show follows Ken Goldin on his quest to track down the world’s most famous sports memorabilia, including trading cards. Netflix is hoping the show becomes an "upscale, high-powered version of Pawn Stars.” Which should be intriguing for anyone who likes bingeing entertaining shows, and off-putting for card collectors who don’t want their assets to be compared to what you find in a pawn shop. Nevertheless, attention is usually a good thing, and the more eyeballs card collectors have on your most valued assets, the better.
